Michael Bankston

Vice Chair

Michael Bankston is a former NFL defensive lineman. Following his successful sports career playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, and Washington Redskins, Michael found success as a mortgage broker for Washington Mutual and as the owner of multiple businesses. Michael has said, "One of the greatest and most valuable lessons I learned from a former pro football coach was that 'Success is not success unless you bring others along with you'." He exemplifies this very quote in his continual support of the community around him.

In addition to being an active board member for Future for KIDS, Michael is a member of the National Football Association and the Sam Houston Black Alumni Association, both of which create opportunities for community outreach. He offers his time, energy, and genuine care to numerous charity events, golf tournaments, cancer awareness programs, and children's hospitals. He is a coach for football camps and YMCA programs and has offered his time in these programs to help bring up those around him.
