Welcome Regina LaPlante! Regina is our new Program Coordinator for Discover Your Future. She comes to us having graduated
from ASU with a Masters in Education and Teacher Certification.
Athletes Performance
Thank you to Dan Zieky and Athletes Performance for providing 50 children at our Discover Your Future
program at Sunnyslope Community Center with an abundance of school supplies. We are so
thankful for their ongoing generosity and commitment to Future for KIDS.

Future for KIDS Lifts Up America
Future for KIDS lifts up America through the Ambassadors for Compassion Program sponsored
by Valley Leadership and The Phoenix Coyotes. On Sat., March 19th, hundreds of kids
from around the Valley walked the red carpet at Jobing.com Arena and entered an event that
inspired and motivated everyone to give back to their communities.
Future for KIDS will be working with 3 teams of kids building up their community with a project that will allow them to make a difference in their world. The projects will be documented on Facebook, so if you aren't already a friend, be sure to change that today.
Avnet's Jeans and Jersey Week raises $2,700 for Future for KIDS
Avnet employees raised $2,700 for Future for KIDS during the Jeans and Jersey Week activities
the week before the Super Bowl. Michael Bankston and Madonna Bistany visited Avnet and
spoke to interested employees about Future for KIDS and mentorship programs. Thank you to all
the Avnet employees and the Avnet Cares program for their generosity and support.
DPR Construction Supports Future For KIDS
Future for KIDS is pleased to announce that they are the recipients of a $10,000 grant

Future for KIDS was fortunate to be selected to be a part of AZGiveCamp sponsored by Go Daddy.
Givecamp is a massive weekend event where the software development community comes together to
support charities and non-profits by developing or improving their web sites and applications.
It's fun, it's agile, it's geeky, and it's good for the community. This year the camp was held
at Devry Institute, January 14-16. Teams of volunteer Tech Pros tackle a project for charity and
hand over their creation on Sunday.Special thanks to the design team: Rocky Sanders, Melissa Howerton, Gary Pratt, Steve Hiner and Rahul Jonna who created a custom volunteer/donor database for Future for KIDS.
