Working with at-risk children has always been a rewarding experience for me.
Since I was sixteen, I have done a variety of volunteer work working with several
organizations such as Palomino Elementary School, Boys and Girls Club and
currently Future for KIDS. In comparison to any other type of volunteering, I
believe working with kids is the most important.

Working at Future for Kids has been a privilege and an honor. I feel that as I am
reaching the end of my time at Future for Kids I have found my groove here. I feel
comfortable in the things I am doing and in the experience I have gained. Future
for KIDS didn't just teach me about a business they taught me about community.

Future for KIDS has been a great opportunity for me. I have learned so much during
my time here. I came into this organization not knowing too much about a non-profit
organization. It was a good experience to learn how a non-profit organization is run
and all the effort that is put into them. It was nice to be able to work on our own
projects and not just overlook others. I feel that this hands-on experience really
helped to prepare me for my future.

I drove there each week. Two things became very apparent to me as I spent more and more
time with them - they don't need a lot to be happy and family is the most important thing
in the world.

they are two of my favorite hobbies and I hope my enthusiasm inspired the children."
