Building tomorrow through academics, athletics, and ethics.
| Gina Garcia, Jillian Laham and Helen Hunter Barnett served as interns for the Spring 09 semester. Each student took on a specific project and served the mission of our organization by leading programs at our partner locations. With their help we were able to evaluate and analyze our programs, distribute a Spring Newsletter, set up social networking sites online and put on a successful fundraising event with the Arabian Horse Event in February. It was important to each of them to impact the lives of at-risk youth. "I hope to help make a difference in the lives of these children who really need support and guidance. To me there is nothing more rewarding that knowing you made a positive influence on a child." -- Gina Garcia. Each of the girls graduated from ASU in May 2009. |

Jillian Ferrario, a sociology major at Arizona State University served as an
intern in the Spring Semester of 2008. Jillian was involved with a variety of
projects including several fundraising events and leading a weekly program at
one of our partner sites. "I am very appreciative to have had this opportunity to
intern with FutureForKIDS. It is a great organization that is truly making a
difference in our community and I am glad to be a part of it. I loved teaching
the cooking and exercise classes at the Salvation Army in South Phoenix because
they are two of my favorite hobbies and I hope my enthusiasm inspired the children."
